Task 1: Improving sentences

You can improve sentences by doing these 4 steps:

1.  Add some interesting adjectives

2.  Improve the verb

3.  Add an adverb

4.  Add a clause (extra information to the sentence)

Quietly, the mysterious man crept along the narrow, dark path, stopping every few steps to kick stones.

Look at each sentence below. Can you improve each by following each of the steps 1-4 above?  Copy the original sentence into your homework book. Write your improved version underneath.
